Design Carrie's Wedding! CONTEST EXTENDED

The Bliss Girls will be judging this super-exciting SATC contest from Southern Weddings...
From SWS: This contest is getting so much buzz already! We've partnered with the AMAZING {Bag Borrow or Steal} (the Netflix of luxury accessories!) for this exciting contest. {Bag Borrow or Steal} is featured prominently in “Sex and the City the Movie”. Jennifer Hudson’s character, as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant, feeds her handbag addiction by borrowing luxury bags from {Bag Borrow or Steal}. The grand prize for this contest: $250 for your very own luxury rental! Choose from over 4,000 styles of designer handbags, jewelry, and sunglasses. They cover the gamut of great designers, including Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Versace, Tory Burch, Juicy, and Coach. How to enter: Without giving anything away from the movie, leave a comment with your vision for Carrie Bradshaw's wedding. If you were designing her wedding, what would she wear, what would the flowers, favors, tables, bridesmaid's dresses, music, food, cocktails, etc be like? For bonus points, email us an inspiration board or pictures to go along with your design. If you send pics or a board, we will post them for all to see. Email them to [SATC at swsmag dot com]. Whether you've seen one episode or watched the entire six seasons 12 times through (I fall in the latter category), you can win this contest!

If I were designing Carrie's wedding, the theme would be "I Love New York". Carrie is such a big fan of New York that her favorite city in the world has to be represented at the reception with beautiful black and white pics of New York framed on the walls (Time Square, Lady Liberty, and Central Park would be among the famous New York cites pictured). And Carrie would have wedding favors like little crystal empire state buildings or red apple candles. Because Carrie is such a chic city gal, I see her wedding colors being crisp, elegant black and white along with big apple red and touches of sassy sex and the city pink! Since Carrie is such a fashionista, the bridesmaids dresses have to be classic little black dresses -- a sweet, full skirted one for Charlotte, a tight, slinky one for Samantha, and a stand out black dress with roses on it for Miranda because she would be the maid of honor. All the girls would probably wear a red apple necklace (like the one Carrie wore in an episode of sex and the city) which Carrie would give to them as a thank you for being part of the wedding party. I see Carrie in a gorgeous black and white wedding dress like the gown Audrey Hepburn wore in Sabrina and of course Carrie's fave Manolo Blahniks in black to match. She should have a touch of color to her veil though by attaching it to a lovely vintage black hat with pink flowers and feathers. Since Carrie is marrying Mr. Big you know she's gonna get a huge rock from him for her engagement ring! To match the bling on her hand Carrie will probably want a gorgeous necklace, maybe like the big beautiful pearl and diamond necklace that Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffanys -- A sure favorite movie of Carrie's since its set in New York and the fashion is fab! The flowers of course will be very chic red and black with some sort of bling like the centerpeices made by The Flower Girl. And Carrie's invitations would probably be something like Joceybella's elegant black and white dahlia invitations. The cake would probably be in black and a light pink with a floral sort of design on it to match the invitations. The tables would be covered in black and white fabric with beautiful black and white china and there would be red chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The whole thing would take place somewhere ritzy and very New York like the Plaza and it would be an event to remember!
