Amy & Andy

Amy_IB.jpgMy FSIL (future sister in law), Amy, is marrying my husband's younger brother, Andy, in Eugene, Oregon in a few short weeks and granted me permission to share a few of the fabulous inspirations for her upcoming wedding.  Here is the inspiration board I put together for her beautiful outdoor celebration and details from the bride-to-be.

From Amy... "Since we have so many people traveling to be here, we wanted the event to represent Oregon at its finest.  All I want is for my guests to walk away at the end of the night feeling the love in the air.  The rest is just details, right?  :)"

Sources: (clockwise from top left)

Daisy Bouquet: bouquet by {Rebecca Thuss} "I love that it's so elegant and ALMOST hippie"

Cherry Pie: "These images are from {Martha} (via {Style Me Pretty})....so rustic and fruity!"

Smores: From {Martha} "There is a big bonfire pit onsite.  They've never used it for a wedding before, and I'm really excited about being the first!  We'll be serving wedding cake, a big fruit buffet, and of course, smores by the bonfire after dinner."

Rustic Sign:  from {The Knot} "So rustic!"

Clothes Pins:  Image from {Rebecca Thuss}  "We'll be doing something similar with baby clothes pins..."

Eyelet and Vintage Ribbons: "Here is the ribbon we're using to wrap bouquets (eyelet for bridesmaids, vintage for me!)--again, an element that's been a huge inspiration."

Ball Jar Candles:  Jelly jars from {Martha} "We'll be doing something very similar, which is super cute and also functional-- it can get very windy at our site [Amy and Andy are getting married on a Christmas tree farm!],  so we needed something that would shelter the candle and protect it"

Simple Flats: "My shoes from {J.Crew}.  I'm tall so I didn't want heels, and my dress is ivory with a bow-shaped crystal brooch.  The bow/ribbon theme will be popping up in subtle ways throughout the event."

Bird and Branch Cake: "This was the image that started it all....by {Lovin Sullivan Cakes} from {InStyle Weddings}.  I fell so in love with this cake very early on in my planning and wanted to base the whole event around it.  In the end,  that didn't really happen (though our STDs did reflect it strongly),  but I've kept it in the back of my head and am truly inspired by it."

Vintage-hued Dress: {Romona Keveza} dress, image from {Martha}. "This wasn't the dress I wound up getting, but it was a strong contender, and definitely has the aesthetic I wanted."

Wild Berries and Flowers: From {Martha} "Berries are a huge part of what I love about Oregon summers. They'll be playing a role in our centerpieces...Our actual centerpieces will be in galvanized buckets (from {Ikea}!)."

Here is Amy & Andy's beautiful Save the Date (from {Sonic Stef Design}) and program cover.  You should see their invitation (from {heatherjeany.etsy.com})--it is darling!

amy_paper_2Thank you so much for sharing these inspiring details with us, Amy.  I can't wait till the Big Day! [We will post pictures of the wedding afterwards, so look forward to that post!]  Happy Friday~ Lara

great escort card picture - it's gorgeous and rustic.

What a GORGEOUS inspiration board. I think I want to get married again. Maybe we should plan an amazing 10-year anniversary "wedding!" That is only 2 years away.
